Order Scrip
We all make regular purchases each week and each month: groceries, gas, and gifts...
Buying gift cards to use for those purchases through the scrip program enables Connection Community Church to raise funds. That strengthens our church and enables us to do further outreach - connecting people with Christ and the life He offers.
All it takes is a little planning ahead for purchases to make this blessing work. Orders are taken monthly: Order on the second Sunday of the month and pick up your gift cards on the third Sunday.
WHAT IS SCRIP?
Scrip is a program where non-profit organizations can go to purchase gift certificates at a discount.
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUY AT A DISCOUNT?
Companies such as Olive Garden, Acme, Giant, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. sell their gift cards at a discount so groups can buy them in bulk. They want you to buy their gift card and make your purchases at their store, rather than at a competitor.
WHY SHOULD I TAKE THE TIME TO BUY A SCRIP?
If you purchase scrip from the church, Connection receives a discount right away. For instance: If you order $400 in Acme cards, which have a 4% discount, the church receives a check from you for $400 and pays scrip the total minus the discount: $384. The church just made $16 and you make your regular purchases using gift cards.
THE AMOUNTS ARE SO SMALL- IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?
Absolutely! If 10 people spend $400 a month at a grocery store (and we all do) that would make us $160 net a month. That’s $1,920 in a year. How about if 50 families committed to it? That would be $800 a month and $9,600 a year.
HOW DO I ORDER?

Log On and Create User
To begin, log on to:www.scripzone.com
Click on “New User” and fill in all of the blanks. Create your own security question. Click “Accept and Create User.”
Then, fill in your name and address information. Click “Finish” and you will be taken to a new screen which has a “Join Group” button. You will need to type in your group ID 302378CCC and click “Join Group.” Your group will appear in the table below.
Order Scrip
Now, click on “Go to Place an Order.” You are ready to begin shopping. You will see three options for shopping:
- Shop by Category – Choose the category and all available retailers will be listed.
- Scrip Suggest – You begin typing and the certificate choices pop up for you.
- Certificate List/Details - Choose your certificate from an alphabetical list that includes the guidelines for the card.
When you are finished, click on “shopping cart” and review your order. Make any changes necessary and click “update cart” then click “checkout.”
Finalize your order by clicking “Place Your Order.” A new screen with the details of your order will appear. Print this page for your records. If you are paying by check you will need to send a copy of this page to your group coordinator with your payment. You can place your check CLEARLY MARKED “SCRIP” into the offering bag.
No orders will be placed until payment is received.
