Our Ministry

Our Pastors

Prior to starting Connection Community Church in 2001, Kari and Alan Jones recognized the need for a new faith community because of the growing population in Middletown, Delaware. In preparation for this assignment, God gave them incredible opportunities over the years to attend workshops and conferences from Florida to California to Korea and places in between. They have had contact with some of the leading pastors and worship leaders in the country and have led contemporary and innovative worship for more than 10 years.

A seed church planted by the vision of Kari and Alan and about 14 local families, Connection Community Church held its first service on Christmas Eve in 2001. Today the church has three Sunday services -- 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. -- in a renovated former bowling alley in downtown Middletown, across the street from the fire station.

Pastors Kari and Alan are both ordained elders in the United Methodist Church and are proud parents of Erin, Megan, Devon, and Turner. Kari and Alan are not afraid to go outside the normal church boundaries and are passionate about reaching people yearning for God and helping them become disciples of Jesus Christ.
